Tasja Cathrin Rosè was born in Munich in 1993, and from the beginning, she never quite fit into one box.
As a child, she sang in the chamber choir of the Max-Josef-Stift and in the children's and chamber choir of the Bavarian State Opera, performing in productions like Carmen, La Bohème, and Alice in Wonderland through her school years. Alongside singing came musical theatre, dance training in showdance, standard, and Latin, and ballroom dancing during her final years of school. Music and performance weren't a hobby — they were simply how she processed the world.
She was, by her own account, a difficult kind of curious: the kind that asks too many questions, that doesn't take "because that's how it's done" as an answer. She began university at seventeen, eventually earning a degree in Egyptology with postgraduate work in biology, after an initial stretch studying physics — proof, if nothing else, that her curiosity never stayed in one lane for long. That same restlessness would later show up in her art: a fascination with ancient worlds, unseen forces, and the idea — borrowed from Arthur C. Clarke — that "magic is just science we don't understand yet."
Being different came at a cost. She learned early what it feels like to stand out, and to be underestimated or isolated for it. She grew up caught between two forces — being taught humility, empathy, and responsibility, while also being told she'd never be good enough for the path she felt pulled toward. Loss entered early too, in the death of her grandmother, which shaped how she understands grief, loyalty, and impermanence. Her mother's unconditional support taught her that love can hold steady even when the world doesn't.

In 2020, she began formal actor training at the Live act Akademie, completing it in 2023 — though she was already working on film sets before she'd even finished. She's since appeared in international projects including Girl You Know It's True alongside Matthias Schweighöfer, Sturm der Liebe, Kommissarin Lucas, K11 – Die neuen Fälle, and Aktenzeichen XY, working with directors including Simon Verhoeven, Bettina Oberli, Cyrill Boss, and Marcus O. Rosenmüller.
As a writer, she's the author of the epic sci-fi/fantasy novel series Darkness & Fire, whose screenplay adaptation was named a quarterfinalist at the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards and ranked #12 on Coverfly's Red List for Best Fantasy TV Show. Writing, for her, is where she works out the questions she can't put down: that people are rarely just one thing, that cruelty and darkness don't exist in a vacuum but grow out of systems, neglect, and fear — and that the job of a story is to make someone pause and ask, what if I'm wrong about this person?

The Music
Her music picked up the same thread. Her 2022 debut single "You Will See Me on the Show" was followed in 2023 by "Evoken Fate" — a song that grew out of her own short film, Demons of My Imagination (2021), which she wrote and directed. Both songs, like the rest of her catalog, sit inside a genre she calls cinematic pop: composition built with a filmmaker's instinct for tension and release, sung with a voice that doesn't ask permission to take up space.
With "Summer Kisses" — her first release as TASJA, out July 31, 2026 — that same artist steps into a brighter, more open register: proof that the same restlessness that pulls her toward darkness can just as easily pull her toward light.
Off stage and off set, that restlessness doesn't switch off. She and her husband — a streamer and gamer — host an ongoing roundtable with guests from across music, film, games, and writing, talking through the decisions and instincts behind the stories that work.
If her work does one thing, she hopes it's this: that it makes someone stop, mid-judgment, and wonder if there's more beneath the surface than they assumed.
